How can we make the 360Giving Data Standard work for your community?
We partner with funder networks and groups to develop and implement ways to effectively share grants data. We can support you to create shared data standards and categorisations that are tailored to your needs, and work alongside the 360Giving Data Standard. This can include adapting our tools and platforms to use the data, providing training and support, and facilitating collaborative governance to improve grantmaking transparency and equity.
Working with a network of funders
360Giving was commissioned by the Grant Makers Alliance and the Association of Charitable Organisations to support the responsible sharing and reporting of data on grants to individuals and families. This included a range of 360Giving services including establishing a steering group to facilitate the development of a shared categorisation for the grants, updates to the 360Giving Data Standard to accommodate the new types of grants and the new categories. We developed tailored guidance and a workshop about responsible publishing of this data, alongside our usual 1-1 support.
Once data was published using these new features, we updated GrantNav and GrantVis to include and filter this data, developing a bespoke dashboard to report on it and the new categories. To support the rollout of the new features and use of the data, we gave presentations at events and conferences to support engagement with the wider membership of the Association of Charitable Organisations.
You can see the Grants to Individuals dashboard on 360Insights.
Working with a group of funders
360Giving was commissioned by the National Lottery Community Fund and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, on behalf of the DEI Data Group, to develop the DEI Data Standard to monitor the equity of grantmaking.
This included establishing co-production mechanisms and governance approaches to the development of the DEI Data Standard, developing an extension to the 360Giving Data Standard to accommodate the new categories, developing guidance for users of the DEI Data Standard and the 360Giving Data Standard DEI Extension, providing regular advice to the DEI Data Group, delivering regular Introduction to the DEI Data Standard workshops and providing 1-1 support to funders exploring the best way to monitor the equity of their grantmaking.
The DEI Data Standard is available on the Funders Collaborative Hub.
